Are Yellow handbags still the hot trend?
For a minute there it seemed like yellow was the hot color for handbags. The yellow handbags trend might be phasing out by now or maybe it’s still in. Who knows?
I don’t have any yellow handbags in my sparse handbag collection.
I should probably be embarrassed to admit I only own 3 handbags and they are all cheap bags I bought at some point in the last decade. I’ve owned them for several years. I only use one of the bags. I don’t even know where to find one of the 3. I haven’t seen it in a while. It’s probably still packed in a box from when I moved across the country a year ago. I have two black and one brown. The brown is the one I haven’t seen in a bit. I think I might have purchased the one I use whenever I go out from Newport News before their website became defunct; and the other black one was a Christmas present from my husband. I have no idea where he bought it but I can assure you it wasn’t Saks Fifth Avenue. The missing brown handbag I might have purchased from JC Penny or Walmart. I can’t be sure which of the two stores but it would be one or the other. Then again it might have been purchased at a Ross store in Georgia or a Ross store in Florida depends on what year I bought it.
So I decided to do some virtual shopping for yellow handbags today and put together some outfit ideas with my imaginary purchases.

The outfit that I will wear while carrying my yellow Michael Kors Large Miranda Grained Tote is comprised of a black Yves Saint Laurent mini tube dress which comes with a $1,990 price tag, a $350 necklace from Marni (lily necklace),” a pair of $95 Daniela Farah plastic earrings” a $25 black metal bracelet from Mango (wide cuff bracelet),” and a $160 pair of Flogg Rexfort II zebra print multi color wood heel sandals.

The outfit
Alexander McQueen dress – Jacquard full dress in sunflower from Alexander McQueen. This is a jacquard silk dress which is described as featuring “a tonal honeycomb and bee pattern”. The dress has a plunging off-the-shoulder neck adjustable shoulder straps and a full skirt. It’s a short sleeved dress with a short length hem full lining and a concealed zipper and hook-eye closure in the back.
The dress comes with a $4,640 price tag.
To offset the yellow a bit I will add a Diane Von Furstenberg black leather belt. The chosen belt comes with $260 price tag.
For shoes I will wear a pair of black Alexander McQueen Armadillo Pumps. The pumps are $795
I’ve selected a Lanvin ribbon necklace” a Marni engraved ring and a Salvatore Ferragamo leather cuff bracelet” and a set of Rachel Zoe earrings for jewelry accessories.

It’s a great looking bag but I’d have to save up for about a decade before I could afford it and by then it will be long out of style; and I’d probably have to pay even more for the rare one that will the be on Ebay being sold as a vintage” if Ebay will still be around in a decade.

It’s wonderful to feel happy even while my life is the same today as yesterday meaning I still have nothing (materially speaking),. But I feel like I have everything I need. I’m happy without there being a reason. It won’t last but that’s the nature of life I guess. The key is to “be”. Enjoy your happy moments. Don’t worry that it won’t last. Don’t hope for it to last and despair over your fear that it won’t. It doesn’t matter. Just be in this moment and when the next moment comes be in that moment and so on. Things aren’t the point. Things are nice; but you don’t need things to get the best out of life.
