I have to admit that sometimes I get depressed about the fact that I don’t have any money. I know most people would get depressed about the fact that they don’t have any money; but not having any money has been such a normal condition for me my whole life that I’m generally oblivious to it. That might not seem to make any sense but it’s quite true. I don’t sit around all day every day thinking about the fact that I don’t have money. I don’t have money but I am still fortunate enough to have a roof over my head and food to eat every day. On top of that I stay busy with the million and one things I do to occupy myself every day and in this way I am usually not feeling like I’m lacking anything in life; but every once in a while the thought enters my head that I’d love to have this or that material thing. It could be anything from a piece of jewelry to a house. The desire for some material possession strikes me and that is when the fact that I don’t have any money begins to get me down; but I don’t stay down very long.
I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that I don’t really have much of a need for things. Is it evidence of a healthy mindset–of realizing that things are just things and that as long as one’s basic needs are met there is no reason to be unhappy because one does not have all the extras? Or is it evidence that I have given up on my goals and my dreams and have stopped wanting anything because I believe I will never have anything? I guess that’s something for me to figure out.
But what does any of it have to do with the title of this post?
Roberto Cavalli Leather Jacket in Dark Acid Lemon
I just saw this leather jacket browsing on the stylebop.com website. I saw it on a page of Roberto Cavalli stuff and I saw a number of different pieces that would make great outfits to wear the jacket with. Sometimes when I’m looking at stuff to blog about I get to wishing I at least had the option to buy the stuff. Whether I would buy it or not is a different story but to have the option would be nice. I think that’s how my mind was lead down the road that inspired me to start this post with all that talk about getting depressed sometimes about my lack of money.
As for the jacket it cost almost $4000 ordinarily ($3 775),. As I write stylebop.com has it available at a 30% discount ($2 642),. I don’t know how long that discount will last.
