Let’ts talk about this Chauncey Oversized Pom Pom Links Sweater

Ok. I am all for quirky. I think people should wear whatever they want to wear. As long as you’re not breaking any laws it shouldn’t make any difference to the rest of the world what you’re wearing. That’s not to say I’m above looking at something someone’s wearing and thinking to myself that they look ridiculous or they shouldn’t be wearing x y or z in public; but at the end of the day it’s none of my business what people are wearing. They have the right to wear whatever they want.

So if this Chauncey Oversized Pom Pom Links Sweater is your cup of tea who am I to judge your sense of style? Style is unique to the individual. I admire someone who is willing to wear what they want to wear without regard for what the rest of the world thinks. I admire people who are not afraid to be different.

In fashion it’s usually people who aren’t wearing the same thing as everybody else who stand out. You wouldn’t be able to help noticing someone wearing this basic navy blue sweater covered with big colorful pom poms.

But would I personally wear this Chauncey Oversized Pom Pom Links Sweater?

More to the point would I pay $775 for this 70% wool 30% cashmere sweater?

To be honest I’m hoping the price is a mis-print. No offense to the designer of the sweater. I do think it’s a cute sweater even if I probably wouldn’t wear it except maybe on a random Saturday morning when I’m feeling like curling up on my sofa sipping a cup of hot chocolate and contemplating the not so wonderful circumstances of my life. I could see wearing this sweater then with a pair of matching knee high socks and some comfy cotton lounge pants. Do I think a sweater that looks perfect for such an occasion should cost $775? Not really; but maybe there’s something I’m not getting. I guess this is one of those things that’s entirely about the brand?

I’ve never really been a huge fan of sweaters but if I was to pay hundreds of dollars for a sweater these sweaters would be among my picks of expensive sweaters I would buy.

Whether or not I would actually buy and wear this sweater would depend on how the sweater feels. It looks a little bit on the itchy side but you can’t always tell just by looking at a sweater that it’s going to be itchy. This sweater is 52% Wool 15% Acrylic 12% Alpaca 8% Polyamide. I don’t have a clue what the blend of these particular fabrics in these proportions would feel like. I do know that I’ve never found wool sweaters to be comfortable.
