On the hunt for the world’s best pair of jeans?

Women are always on the hunt for a great pair of jeans. Maybe not necessarily the world’s best pair of jeans because that’s going to be a matter of opinion; but certainly a pair of jeans they can call their personal best pair of jeans. woman in fitted jeans shown from backJeans have the power to build up your confidence or undermine your confidence. And by jeans I refer specifically to denim pants. The right pair of jeans can greatly boost a woman’s confidence in her appearance whereas the wrong pair can make her look and feel uncomfortable, make her self-conscious and consequently put her in a bad mood for the whole time she’s out and about in the jeans.

A woman wants to look good and feel good in her jeans. Nothing beats a pair of jeans that fit so comfortably you forget you’re wearing them. And I’m not talking about boyfriend jeans. Boyfriend jeans are great and a girl should have at least a couple for those days when she specifically needs the comfort of loose-fitting jeans. I’m talking about fitted jeans–slim fit, skinny, whatever classification–jeans that hug your buttocks and your thighs–you want them to make you look good while still leaving you feeling lithe and free and comfortable.

Finding your best pair of jeans – the range

Most “best pair of jeans” features you read on fashion blogs and magazines will strictly mention brands that come with a price tag in the $150 – $550 range. A few more affordable brands under $100 do get a mention; but for the most part you’ll read from people swearing by their Paige Denim, Hudson, J Brand, Frame Denim, Citizens of Humanity, Rag & Bone, 7 For All Mankind and other designer label jeans. For sure jeans have a way of looking like they are good quality or looking like they are cheap.

Of course looks can be deceiving; but I’ve found for the most part the jeans that I am drawn to when looking for jeans to buy usually cost in the $200 – $500 price range; but of course I can’t afford them so I end up buying what I can afford but never wear them because they are just never flattering. Some other labels carry under $100 styles that look of comparable quality (by virtue alone of the pictures of the jeans as seen on the internet). Some of these labels include Buffalo Jeans, STS Blue, KUT from the Kloth, Treasure&Bond, Topshop — just to name a few.

Does price make a pair of jeans the world’s best pair of jeans?

Bunch of Balmain jeans

In no way am I suggesting you have to shell out big bucks to find a flattering pair of jeans. Paying $1000 for a pair of jeans will not guarantee that the jeans will look good on you. Balmain jeans for example–probably the most expensive designer jeans out there–usually look good on the models wearing them in the pictures on retailers websites; but that won’t tell you anything about how the jeans will look on you unless you have the same body type as the model.

The key to finding the perfect pair of jeans isn’t how much you spend but knowing your body and understanding what looks good on you and what doesn’t. You need the right cut for your body type and all jeans aren’t cut the same. A pair of jeans won’t look good on you just because it’s designed by a high end label and comes with a hefty price tag. Even so, it is widely suggested that high end designer label jeans will generally tend to look better on you because they are made with better quality material and go through a more stringent production process.

Balmain in the stores

It’s tempting to want to buy a pair of Balmain jeans just to find out for yourself what all the hype is about. I mean, these jeans have got to be something super special to be worth their high price tag. For the price alone you’d imagine any pair of Balmain jeans would qualify as the world’s best pair of jeans; but I wouldn’t be able to tell you if that’s the case or not because I don’t own an pair of Balmain jeans. But if I could freely purchase Balmain jeans I’d go for a pair of the Black cotton blend skinny jeans and Blue stretch cotton panelled skinny jeans.

Of course I’d first have to win an enormous lottery jackpot or get my hands on upwards of a hundred million dollars via some other miraculous means before I would be able to fork over one thousand dollars for a pair of jeans. For now my DKNY jeans that I purchased for less than $20 off a clearance rack at a department store in Florida several years ago will have to remain my personal “best pair of jeans” from among my collection of jeans even though they really don’t do much of anything for me being a big on the baggy side.
