Lena Hoschek is an Austrian designer. Her Fall/Winter 2016 collection is currently available for pre-order via Moda Operandi. The collection, according to Moda Operandi, “pays homage to [British] national icons including the Queen and infamous literary characters, Miss Marple and Sherlock Holmes.” Here are some of the items featured in the Moda Operandi Lena Hoschek Fall/Winter 2016 trunk show. We would love to get our hands on some Lena Hoschek FW16 dresses. We love the retro look, although some of the styles we like the most are cut a bit too low at the bodice. But who knows? The price tags for some aren’t so outrageous as to make it a definite unlikelihood that we would ever be able to afford even one. (Note: click on the images for more information via Modaoperandi.com)
So who exactly is Lena Hoscheck? She’s an Austrian designer who got her start when she was just 24 yeras old. Here’s some info we grabbed from the About page on her website:
Via lenahoschek.com – In November 2005 at the tender age of 24, Lena Hoschek set up her own label in a cosy little atelier at the centre of the Old Town of Graz. Ever since, her name has been synonymous with a nostalgic return to traditional tailoring, classic designs and the ultra-feminine hourglass silhouette, without ever being conventional. A self-proclaimed “truffle pig” as far as fabrics are concerned, Hoschek is always on the look out for sumptuous textiles with a story to tell – a passion she has nurtured ever since she was a little girl. Opulent patterns, exquisite materials and meticulous attention to detail characterise her collections while at the same time epitomising her ethos, which is to value each item of clothing as something timeless and lasting. All Lena Hoschek pieces are lovingly produced with painstaking care at small clothing factories based in Europe.
