Ole Henriksen 3 little wonders sheer transformation truth serum collagen booster invigorating night treatment

I picked up some Ole Henriksen products from Sephora yesterday.

I’m seriously loving what the Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders (sheer transformation, truth serum collagen booster, invigorating night treatment) have done for my face. After using up the travel-sized samples that were included in the #RANBonusBox last month, I purchased another travel size box from #Sephora. I was that impressed with what the product had done to my face in about the 7 days of use that it claims it will transform your skin. I won’t go so far as to say my skin was transformed in 7 days; but it looked noticeably brighter and more radiant even while still flawed.

My second travel sized 3 Little Wonders finished several days ago. And since my face was still looking much improved, I decided to invest in some bigger sizes of the products and also to pick up a couple of new Ole Henriksen products to help with some of my other skin concerns.

I spent just under $200 at Sephora on Ole Henriksen products so you must know I was more than just a little impressed with what the 3 Little Wonders did for my skin. Because, if you’ve been reading my posts, you know I don’t have any money to be spending nearly $200 on beauty creams and serums.

Let’s talk Ole Henriksen sheer transformation, truth serum collagen booster and invigorating night treatment

Ole Henriksen 3 little wonders sheer transformationMy skin has been subjected for years to all the things that are bad for skin.

  • Lack of adequate sleep
  • Not enough water
  • Not enough general happiness in life (sadness makes your face sag)
  • Not enough quiet peaceful moments (stress gives you lines and creases)
  • Not enough money to afford to commit to a skincare regimen

I’ve been back and forth trying combat all the things that result from not taking good enough care of my skin. There have been times when products have helped over time to clear up my dark spots and minimize my fine lines and make me look halfway decent without makeup. But I’ve always found myself back at square one.

My Skin in 2015…

My skin has been pretty much at its worse this year. The dark spots from stupid adult acne, moles, scattered tiny warts, increasing number of fine lines, lack of smoothness, progressive loss of firmness and elasticity and just looking tired and dull. It’s been getting increasingly difficult to look at myself and not think to myself that I’m about the most hideously ugly thing I’ve ever laid eyes upon. And I have horrible horrible skin. But lately, I’ve actually been able to look at my face and not feel quite so devastated by the ugly truth that stares back at me in the form of a rapidly aging face. And it’s all thanks to Ole Henriksen sheer transformation oil-free perfecting creme, truth serum collagen booster and invigorating night treatment – the 3 Little Wonders.

The sheer transformation cream significantly faded my dark spots in just a couple of weeks. It hasn’t gotten rid of them. I still have the dark spots; but they are very noticeably less dark. And my skin is very noticeably less dull. And the most amazing thing is that my skin stays looking vibrant all day. Most of the time you try something and it gives you a few hours where your skin looks good then things settle back to the norm. But my skin has been looking refreshed and rejuvenated throughout the day. It has been looking brighter (as promised by the truth serum collagen booster), and that alone has improved my looks significantly. Which is not to say I’m suddenly beautiful. I’m still an ordinary girl that some people would go so far as to call ugly if they saw me first thing in the morning. It’s just since I started using the Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders, my skin has looked brighter, less pockmarked and less discolored. It has felt smoother and has looked healthier overall.

OLEHENRIKSEN 3 LITTLE WONDERS professional strength ANTI AGING creams serumsI’m not saying Ole Henriksen’s 3 Little Wonders have miraculously transformed my skin from bad skin to good skin.

I still have bad skin. My skin has a lot of issues that would have to be resolved before I can claim that it has been transformed. The dark spots, while noticeably less dark, are still noticeable. My hope is that after a month or two using Ole Henriksen sheer transformation cream the dark spots will not be noticeable at all. I want to imagine that if the cream was able to lighten them as much as it has after just 14 or so days then after a couple of months they should be near to invisible.

For sure the texture of my skin has improved with use of the Ole Henriksen products. The Invigorating Night Treatment lists as it’s benefits:

  • Smooth texture
  • Smooth fine lines
  • Minimize pores
  • Even skintone

I would have to say that it has definitely been smoothing the texture of my skin and evening out my skin tone. It’s hard to comment on the fine lines. I have fine lines around my eyes and at the laugh line area of my face. I don’t know that they have begun to smooth out. Then again, what does it even mean “Smooth fine lines”? Does it mean I should start to see the fine lines disappearing or just that they will look less cracked?

The Truth serum Collagen Booster says that it will:

  • Brighten, restore radiance
  • Firm, support healthy collagen
  • Minimize lines and wrinkles

My skin has definitely been looking brighter and more radiant (relative to it’s usual dullness). I don’t know if I’m experiencing the firmness yet. It might be that I am past the age where anything can be done about some of the loss of elasticity around the lower cheek area at the sides of the mouth and in the area that curves from the edges of the nose to the sides of the mouth. Those are the areas where lack of firmness is an issue for me. And I think I’ll need more time using the collagen booster and the night treatment before I can comment on whether or not they’re helping with those particular problems.

But the results from using the 3 Little Wonders were amazing enough to get me to spend  $72 for 1 oz bottles of each product plus an additional $100 to try two other Ole Henriksen products. If I’m able to improve the condition of my skin by just 50% I think I’ll be satisfied. I don’t expect miracles.

Side Note…

Someone said to me yesterday that women shouldn’t spend so much money on beauty products trying to combat the ravages of time. He said we should learn to accept aging for what it is and just grow old gracefully.

Here’s what I think about that

Having spent a lifetime dealing with self image issues I know too well what it’s like to struggle to accept yourself when you don’t look the way society says you should look if you want people to love and admire you. I 1000% believe we should all love and admire ourselves and never worry about other people and what they think of us. But I’ll be the first to admit that this is easier in thought than in practice. If a woman could grow old gracefully in this image obsessed world in which we live that would be one thing. But society does not allow women to age with grace and pride. After a certain age women are treated as if they no longer have any worth or value. And this is entirely because they have lost their youthful looks. And it’s not just a matter of treating them like they have no worth or value. They are also subjected to ridicule and scorn because of their age. They’re reminded every day directly and indirectly that they are pointless because they are no longer young. So to tell them to just grow old gracefully is basically telling them to just accept that they are no longer of any use or value. And so they should just give up all vanity and just let nature take it’s course.

Well, to most people I wasn’t of any use or value when I was 20 anyway. And it’s I who have to look at myself in the mirror every day and be at peace with what I see. So if I can do something to make myself look better, so that when I look in the mirror I can like what I see a little bit more, then I’m going to do that something regardless who thinks I’m just wasting time and money and not loving myself with all my flaws.

Some flaws are things you can get rid of so why not get rid of them? No one is born with a face covered in dark spots and moles and warts. So if a product can help you get rid of things that aren’t on your face because you were born with them, why not use it? It’s not about vanity and trying to be something you’re not. Before nature zapped you with a zit and left you with a new blemish after the zit was gone, your skin where the zit popped up was perfectly clear. Your truth lies underneath all the ugly stuff that has happened to your face over the years and that continue to happen. The blemishes–the so-called flaws–those are the lie.

If you actually read this post all the way to the end, thank you. I know it’s way long.

Good luck in your mission to restore radiance to your skin!

Monica
Singer songwriter Adelamonica AKA Avenue Sixty editor in chief. Writing as Monica for The Monica Archives. Writing has always been one of my passions. In fact, when I was a teenager, I used to tell people they should remember my name, because I was going to become a famous author. I used to live to write and write to live--not in the sense of writing for income but writing to combat depression and to feel a sense of purpose. I've written novels, poems, articles and essays that I tried unsuccessfully to get published over many years starting in my teens. When I discovered blogging several ages ago, I turned to that avenue as a means of doing what I love without having to worry about publishers and their rejection letters. Modeling is also something I have always enjoyed and something I wanted very badly to do as a teenager. So badly that I used to lie and tell people I was a model. I would carry around a large portfolio style photo album and claim it was my modeling portfolio. But, as with my writing, the people with the power to make my modeling dreams come true saw nothing in me that made them stop me in the streets of New York to offer me a modeling contract with their agency. So when I discovered the ability to photograph my own self (before cell phones and selfies) I took up a hobby of pretend modeling at home and that hobby has remained with me throughout my life as a form of self expression and self therapy. I ask that you kindly excuse my lack of worldliness and any instances where I demonstrate lack of tact or lack of knowledge and even lack of basic intelligence in my writing and posing. I'm just here trying to have a little fun doing the things that make me happy. I'm just an average human for whom writing and posing and singing and dancing and the other things I do are ways I express myself and keep myself going on this ever challenging journey of life. I hope you will find something even remotely useful or interesting in the things I share.
