Let’s talk purple fashion looks

Some people get excited over purple fashion looks. Others wouldn’t wear purple unless you paid them. Purple is one of those colors you either love or hate. Purple is bold. You can’t miss someone wearing purple. Some people will avoid wearing purple the same way they might avoid wearing yellow, orange, green, red, neon colors, certain types of prints. We regard certain colors as being fashion safe and others as being risky; and purple generally seems to fall into the risky category. But there’s really no need to be afraid of the color purple. You can put together many flattering purple fashion looks.

The key to wearing blue or red with purple is to find the right shades to blend and in the right amount. If you want to wear a red skirt with a purple top for example, the combination can work or not depending on the colors of purple and red you choose. Putting together purple fashion looks is about knowing how to blend and match the right colors.

Actress Kate Walsh wore a red skirt with a purple top back in 2009 attending the LA Premiere of “The Hangover”. She wore a Stella McCartney red wool skirt and purple silk sleeveless top. Purple goes with a lot of colors you might not expect. Megan Fox once stepped out wearing a yellow cardigan with a purple dress and nude shoes and looked perfectly lovely.

Rihanna was once spotted out dressed in a magenta pink-purple pants and top and carrying a yellow bag. Not so long ago orange and purple were a hot combination in color blocking. There was a particular orange and purple Gucci dress that it seemed like every celebrity owned one of. Purple is surprisingly a very flexible color. It goes well with other colors you might not immediately expect it to work with. Red, green, yellow and orange are among the colors you might not expect to go well with purple that turn out to work with purple very well depending on the outfit. The safe colors would be white and black. Although some people suggest you should never wear black with purple, the general consensus is that black works with everything. The purple topshop coat worn by blogger Carla Estévez works perfectly well with her all black ensemble. Nude shades are also good choices as well as metallic colors for shoes when wearing purple dresses.
