How cute is this Stella McCartney Wool And Silk-Blend Lipstick-Intarsia Sweater? I know–it’s just a black sweater with a picture of lipsticks printed on the front of it. You can probably do a fairly decent imitation on your own by custom printing a lipstick graphic on a black sweatshirt. I did one just for fun. I didn’t actually get it custom printed. I just put it together in photoshop. You can find the sweatshirt (without the lipstick graphic), on Amazon.
Okay so the imitation isn’t close to looking as opulent as Stella McCartney’s original design. I mean there’s a big difference between a 50% Polyester/38% Cotton/12% Rayon sweatshirt and a 70% Wool 30% Silk/ 63% Wool 33% Silk 4% Cotton sweater; but if you love the look of Stella’s sweater but can’t afford the $670 price tag you could make yourself a decent enough looking alternative with just a basic black sweatshirt and a cute lipstick graphic.
Who knows? Maybe if find myself with an extra $40 over the next couple of months I’ll get my design printed on a black sweatshirt.
Of course if I should get my hands on 38.6 or so million I’ll go ahead and get the Stella McCartney version.
