I love skirts. Short skirts long skirts mid-length skirts knee-length skirts pencil skirts flared skirts–I always feel girly and feminine in skirts.
My most memorable outfits from childhood were two skirt and blouse outfits that were my favorite because of how much I loved the skirts. I had them when I was eleven and twelve. One was a flared pastel green skirt and the other was a burgundy floral skirt with a fancy ruffled asymmetric hem. I can remember I had to run an errand one Saturday and I wore the burgundy floral skirt. I felt so cute in it. I was going through a phase then of trying to act like a girl with finesse so I was working a new sexy walk in my cute little fitted skirt. I got hit on by a guy and I knew it had to be that I looked as cute as I felt; but now that I think about it the walk probably gave him ideas about me. He was probably trying to see if he could lure me off the street all thanks to me thinking I was walking with finesse when in fact my walk was begging for something else.
But yeah I love skirts; and I saw these cute skirts today. I can’t afford them right now but I’m hopeful that maybe sometime by mid 2014 that will change. We’ll see. In the meantime…

Ostwald Helgason wrap-effect layered checkered jacquard skirt($675),
Personally I wouldn’t wear this skirt with the shirt shown on the featured model. I think her top makes the skirt look a little like an apron over a maid’s uniform. It’s a nice skirt; but I think it needs a different top to really bring it out and not make the wrap part of it resemble an apron.

As expensive designer clothes go I can’t really call these Ostwald Helgason skirts shockingly exorbitant. That label can be reserved for skirts like the below Givenchy black Leather And Lace Pleated Skirt which comes with an $8,950 price tag.
These Ostwald Helgason skirts are cute and although not affordable for me right now you might not necessarily need a bank account with a couple hundred million to be able to afford one for yourself.
