Daphne is in the mood to spend money today. She’s feeling unbalanced after waking up in the middle of a disturbing dream. To distract herself she has decided to do some virtual shopping. Right now she’s actually sitting at her computer desk staring off into space while biting her finger nails; but earlier she did do some browsing and she did pick out a few pairs of Charlotte Olympia leopard print shoes to buy. She just hasn’t actually bought them yet.
Daphne has been awake for several hours and it’s only eight-fifteen in the morning. She’s feeling kind of hungry but today is supposed to be the start of a 3 – 5 day fast. She just completed a 5 day fast on Sunday. She has to complete 3 more 3 – 5 day fasts over the next 30 days. It’s a spiritual thing.
The Charlotte Olympia leopard print shoes that Daphne is going to purchase today include the Myrtle Leopard Bootie above the CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA ‘Polly’ Ponyskin Court Shoes the Charlotte Olympia “Bisoux” Red Suede Leopard Print Flats the Charlotte Olympia Kitty embroidered animal-print calf hair slippers and the Charlotte Olympia Polly calf hair and patent-leather pumps with red platform.
She has just added the Charlotte Olympia Myrtle Leopard Bootie in a size 8.5US to her shopping bag. It’s $995.00 but money is no object for Daphne. $995 for her is like $9.95 for you and me.
A memory from her dream has just flashed across Daphne’s mind and she’s frowning.
“Why would I dream about Courtney Stodden having sex with her husband?” she’s wondering aloud. “That’s totally weird.” She’s remembering how in the dream she was surfing the internet and came across pictures of Courtney Stodden having sex with her husband. She’s trying to remember the husband’s name but can’t. “Dammit” what’s his name again? Doug. Doug Something. Doug…” She still can’t remember so she googles it and finds out that it’s Doug Hutchison. In her dream she had seen inappropriately intimate pictures of them and then they had turned up in her living room cuddling on her sofa bed while she was trying to find her sneakers to go running.
Shaking off the memory she puts the CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA ‘Polly’ Ponyskin Court Shoes in her shopping cart. She barely notices that she’s getting it at a discount. It’s usually $1049.73 but today she’s getting it for $626.82.
She then puts the $975 Charlotte Olympia leopard print and red patent leather Polly calf hair pumps into her shopping bag. She decides to get that in a 9 because it said the pumps ran a full size smaller. Technically she wears an 8 although ever since her experience with the size 7 shoes she tried to get away with wearing she’d started buying 8½ to make sure she would never feel that kind of pain again.
Daphne’s hunger is becoming more intense. She’s not sure if she’ll manage to fast today. The first day is always the hardest. She probably should have just done 10 straight days like she’d originally intended instead of doing 5 then breaking and starting again. She was actually supposed to start again yesterday but could’t manage. She can tell today is going to be tough. She decides she’ll get up from the computer at 9:30 drink a bottle of water and make a cup of lemon and ginger tea.
In the meantime she puts the Charlotte Olympia leopard print red Bisoux suede slipper-style loafers into her shopping bag. They are $811.
She’s starting to feel a lot better now. She can’t even remember the more disturbing parts of the dream that woke her up suddenly earlier in the morning and left her feeling unbalanced. She can only remember the weird part with Courtney Stodden and how that scene with her looking for her sneakers in the living room where Courtney and Doug were lying down on her sofa bed had turned into a chaotic scene with tons of people in her living room mostly men and everybody ignoring her while she was raging about needing to find her sneakers; and then her sister suddenly appeared on her kitchen floor lying down moaning as if in pain only to assure her when she ran over to her aide that all was well and she’d only come to share with her that she’d made a decision to pack up her things and leave her husband once she went home from work that day.
“Dreams can be so weird” Daphne thinks to herself as she adds the $975 Charlotte Olympia Polly calf hair and patent-leather pumps to her shopping bag. She could hardly believe how out of it she had been just hours ago all over things she’d dreamed that she couldn’t even clearly remember.
Glancing at the time at the bottom right corner of the monitor she realized it was past 9:30. She had said she would get up at 9:30 to get a bottle of water and make a cup of tea but she wasn’t feeling as hungry right this moment as when she’d made that decision so she figured she’d leave it until 10AM. The longer she could wait to start ingesting anything even water the easier it was going to be to get day one of fast #2 completed successfully.
Adding the $825 Charlotte Olympia Kitty embroidered animal-print calf hair slippers to her shopping bag Daphne decides that should be enough Charlotte Olympia leopard print shoes for now. She did see some other Charlotte Olympia leopard print shoes that she liked but she figured she didn’t need to get them all today. There was always tomorrow.
