A Turquoise print scarf Foulard tropic design Tale

Rosalinda wore a Turquoise print scarf Foulard with a tropic design to a music festival in the park. The foulard had been given to her by her aunt as a birthday present. She had never heard of a foulard before she received the present from her aunt who had corrected her when she’d opened the box and said” “What a lovely scarf. Thanks Auntie. I love it.”

Her aunt had smiled.

“That’s a foulard”,” she’d said in the fake European accent she’d started using ever since she decided that she was the reincarnation of a Victorian era heroine.

“A foulard?” Rosalinda had asked.

“Yes”,” her aunt had replied.

Rosalinda then asked her aunt what a foulard was and her aunt explained that it was to all intents and purposes a scarf” but if she wanted to be in vogue and show her sense of high fashion she had to acknowledge a distinction even if she couldn’t necessarily see one.

So Rosalinda called the scarf a foulard because that’s what her aunt said it was supposed to be called.

At the music festival she wore her turquoise print scarf Foulard with tropic design over her head instead of around her neck because she was having a bad hair day.

While at the music festival she ran into her friend Jane who complimented her on her foulard.

“Hey Rosalinda nice scarf,” said Jane. “Where did you get it?

Mango.com” Rosalinda said with a smile “But it’s a foulard. Not a scarf.”
